You do most of the talking
Conversation, at your level, from the first minute. Kirsten's first job is a room where you can get it wrong out loud and nobody winces — and that is the point at which people stop building every sentence in their head before they say it.
Corrections that actually stick
Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation get fixed inside something you were genuinely trying to say. That is why they stay fixed — and why this is not a syllabus you could have worked through on your own.
Planned around your week
Tell Kirsten what is coming and that is what you practise: the email you keep rewriting, the interview on Thursday, the meeting you keep going quiet in. Every lesson is prepared for you before you arrive.

Kirsten is a TEFL/TESOL-certified English tutor with more than twelve years of experience, teaching students from all over the world. Her 120-hour TEFL/TESOL qualification and her Preply teaching certificate are both independently verified, and she has taught over 175 one-to-one lessons on Preply alone at an unbroken five-star average.
Her lessons are patient, supportive and conversation-focused. The aim is a room where you can talk without feeling judged or embarrassed, because that is the point at which people stop translating in their heads and start speaking. Everything is planned around your goals rather than a course book, and every lesson ends with feedback and a vocabulary list you keep. Before you book
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel at least 24 hours before the start time and the credit goes straight back into your balance, automatically. Inside 24 hours the credit is spent — Kirsten has held the time and turned other people away for it.
Do unused lessons roll over?
No. Your balance resets on your renewal date, so a month's lessons are meant to be used inside that month. Your dashboard shows the reset date and warns you when credits are about to expire.
What do I need to join a lesson?
A browser, a decent connection, and somewhere you can talk out loud. Headphones help more than a good camera. The joining link is in your calendar invitation and on your dashboard.
Can I change my plan or stop?
Any time, from your dashboard. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep access — and any credits you have already paid for — until the end of the month you have paid for.
How long is a lesson?
50 minutes. The trial one is shorter, at 20.
What level do I need to be?
Any. Kirsten teaches complete beginners as well as advanced speakers polishing business English, interview answers or an accent, and children as well as adults. The thing that most often needs fixing is confidence rather than grammar. The trial lesson exists to work out where you actually are.
